Frankie Caradonna's look at the world follows and reflects the artistic and spiritual path that inspired him to move from Italy to the UK in 2008. The poetry of the hills and valleys of the Italian countryside has been enriched with the urban shapes and shades of the City. Simple traces of beauty hidden in wrecked architectures and in patterns of nature are the subject of his black and white photographs. The mood and atmosphere evoked by these images transcend reality and ultimately represent the border between memories and reality. Caradonna is attempting to represent the necrosis of reality in his Still Decadent Life, as particles of the infinity surrounded by mystery in the decadence in which he lives. Space and time unite in this body of work, to show a brief moment of life and a soul's odyssey. Cornwall, Orcia valley as well as Greenwich and Ischia are symbols of Caradonna's introspective journey seeking an intuition, a common centre, an aesthetic essence.
