Set in 13th-century England. Adam, a young farmer with a pure heart, is headed for the gallows. As he awaits execution, his thoughts intertwine with memories of the woman he loves, Charlotte, and his best friend, Clarence. Together they had dreamed of escaping their miserable lives, planning a robbery to secure a future elsewhere.
